Managing Director Profile
Lancelot Frick continues the multi-generation family tradition of finance, banking and asset management. His Great-Great Grandfather founded and chaired UBS from 1912-1941 and remained as Honorary Lifelong Chairman.
Lancelot's father, Dr. Hans-Wolfgang Frick, started his career on Wall Street. In 1956 he moved to Zurich, Switzerland to manage and build the newly acquired Guyerzeller Bank (now HSBC) as its CEO. He served in this role and as Vice-Chairman of Guyerzeller Bank for almost 40 years. From the late 1980's, he was also Chairman of Banque de Depots (now EFG Bank) until retirement.
Following his ancestor's tradition, Lancelot began his career at the age of 16, working on the floor of the Swiss Stock Exchange in Zurich for Rahn & Bodmer Banquiers. After graduating from school, he worked for MKS Finance in Geneva and at Compagnie Financière Tradition in Lausanne (now Viel).
While earning his B.A. from Boston University, he took a position on Wall Street with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now Credit Suisse). Later, he worked for Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) in private banking and investment advisory. Lancelot was a director at Paramount Capital before founding Frick Capital in 1999 in New York.
